Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: July 1, 2026

Welcome to Serengeti Wakanda Tours. By booking a safari, tour, transfer, or any other travel service with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Booking Confirmation

  • A booking is confirmed only after we receive the required deposit or full payment as stated in your quotation or invoice.
  • You receive a written confirmation from Serengeti Wakanda Tours.
  • Until confirmation is issued, availability of accommodations, flights, park permits, and other services cannot be guaranteed.

2. Payment Terms

  • A deposit may be required to secure your booking.
  • Full payment must be completed before the commencement of your safari unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Payments may be made by bank transfer, credit/debit card, or other approved payment methods.
  • Any bank charges, exchange rate differences, or transaction fees are the responsibility of the client.

3. Pricing

  • All quotations are based on the rates available at the time they are issued.
  • Prices may be adjusted before booking confirmation due to government tax changes, national park fee revisions, currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, accommodation rate changes, or airline and third-party supplier price changes.
  • Once your booking is confirmed and paid, no additional charges will apply unless you request changes to your itinerary.

4. Cancellations by the Guest

  • We understand plans can change. In case of any cancellation, you will receive a credit note for the full amount paid — allowing you to rebook your safari within a generous 2-year timeframe.
  • Explore at your convenience and enjoy the adventure when the time is right for you.
  • The above credit note policy is subject to the accommodations opted for, as individual lodge, camp, and hotel terms may differ and take precedence where applicable.
  • No credit or refund will be provided for no-shows, late arrivals, early departures, unused accommodation, missed activities, missed transfers, or meals and services not used during the trip.
  • To cancel, please notify us in writing (email) as early as possible so we can process your credit note and coordinate with suppliers.

5. Changes to Bookings

  • Clients may request changes to their itinerary before travel.
  • Changes are subject to availability, supplier approval, additional costs, and administrative fees where applicable.
  • We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate requested changes.

6. Cancellation by Serengeti Wakanda Tours

  • If Serengeti Wakanda Tours must cancel your booking due to circumstances within our control, you may choose a full refund of all payments received or a rescheduled safari on mutually agreed dates.
  • Our liability is limited to the amount paid directly to Serengeti Wakanda Tours.

7. Force Majeure

  • Serengeti Wakanda Tours shall not be liable for cancellations, delays, changes, losses, or failure to perform services caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
  • These include natural disasters, floods, earthquakes, wildfires, pandemics, epidemics, government regulations, political unrest, terrorism, civil disturbances, airline cancellations, border closures, extreme weather, strikes, and mechanical failures.
  • Where possible, we will assist clients in rescheduling their safari or recovering refundable amounts from suppliers. Refunds under these circumstances are subject to the refund policies of hotels, airlines, lodges, and other third-party providers.

8. Travel Documents

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring they possess a valid passport, appropriate visas, vaccination certificates where required, travel insurance, and any other required travel documentation.
  • Serengeti Wakanda Tours accepts no responsibility for denied entry due to missing or invalid documentation.

9. Travel Insurance

  • Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.
  • Your policy should cover trip cancellation, medical treatment, emergency evacuation, personal accident, lost baggage, flight delays, and personal liability.
  • Travel insurance is the responsibility of the client.

10. Health & Fitness

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to participate in the booked activities.
  • Any medical conditions, allergies, disabilities, dietary requirements, or mobility limitations should be disclosed before booking.

11. Wildlife Safety

  • Safaris take place in natural wildlife environments.
  • Although every reasonable precaution is taken, Serengeti Wakanda Tours cannot guarantee the behavior of wild animals.
  • Clients agree to follow all instructions from guides, remain inside vehicles unless instructed otherwise, respect wildlife and park regulations, and accept the inherent risks associated with safari travel.

12. Accommodation

  • Accommodation is subject to availability.
  • If an accommodation becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to substitute it with another property of equal or higher standard.

13. Transportation

  • Our vehicles are maintained to high safety standards.
  • Delays may occur due to road conditions, weather, mechanical issues, traffic, or government inspections. Such delays shall not constitute grounds for compensation.

14. Flights

  • We are not responsible for flight cancellations, missed connections, airline schedule changes, lost baggage, or airline delays.
  • Clients should allow sufficient connection times.

15. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients agree to respect local customs and laws, follow safety instructions, treat staff respectfully, pay for any damages caused intentionally or negligently, and behave responsibly throughout the safari.
  • Serengeti Wakanda Tours reserves the right to remove any client whose behavior endangers others or disrupts the tour without refund.

16. Photography

  • Serengeti Wakanda Tours may use photographs or videos taken during tours for promotional purposes unless the client notifies us in writing before the safari that they do not consent.

17. Limitation of Liability

  • Serengeti Wakanda Tours acts as an agent for hotels, airlines, lodges, transportation companies, and other service providers.
  • We shall not be liable for injury, illness, death, property loss, theft, delays, additional expenses, force majeure events, or acts or omissions of third-party suppliers.
  • Our maximum liability shall not exceed the total amount paid directly to Serengeti Wakanda Tours for the booking.

18. Complaints

  • Any concerns should be reported immediately to your guide or our office so we can attempt to resolve the issue during your trip.
  • Formal complaints should be submitted in writing within 14 days after the completion of your safari.

19. Privacy

  • Personal information is collected solely for the purpose of arranging travel services.
  • We do not sell or share personal information with third parties except where necessary to provide booked services or where required by law.

20. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
  • Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Tanzania.

21. Acceptance

  • By confirming your booking or making payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us before confirming your booking.
