4-Day Beach to Bush, Fly in, Fly out Luxury Safari

Begin your safari adventure with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar, followed by a scenic flight to the heart of the Serengeti. The journey includes a brief stop at Arusha Airport before landing at Seronera Airstrip around 11:00 a.m. Upon arrival, set off on a thrilling private game drive through the iconic landscapes of the Serengeti, with the opportunity to spot diverse wildlife throughout the day. The Seronera valley is the heart of the Serengeti and a year-round game-viewing area. Permanent water, rocky kopjes and short-grass plains create the highest density of big cats in Africa: roughly 1 lion per 10 km², and the best leopard sightings on the circuit.

Mornings start before sunrise to catch the cats while they are still active; midday is a slow picnic in the shade of an acacia. In the afternoon we work the riverine fig trees for leopards and the kopjes for resting prides. Distances are long but every stop is worth it.

Spend the entire day exploring the legendary Serengeti National Park, starting your adventure at sunrise. Embark on an immersive game drive in search of the iconic Big Five and a host of other remarkable wildlife, all while surrounded by the park’s breathtaking landscapes. Serengeti is also a paradise for bird lovers, boasting over 500 species, from the elegant ostrich and secretary bird striding through the grasslands to black eagles gliding high above the savannah. Your safari adventure begins early today as you depart from Serengeti at 06:00 hrs with a packed breakfast, heading toward the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. After descending into the crater, you’ll spend around 4 hours exploring its diverse landscapes and exceptional wildlife, including the rare black rhino if you’re lucky. After an unforgettable experience inside this 260-square-kilometre caldera, you’ll ascend and drive to your lodge on the crater rim for dinner and an overnight stay. The Ngorongoro Crater is a 260 km² collapsed caldera with 600 m walls, and the highest density of large mammals on Earth. Inside the crater floor live around 25,000 large animals, including the densest population of black-maned lions and one of the last strongholds of the eastern black rhino.

We descend at first light when the floor is still in shadow and the cats are working. A picnic breakfast on the rim, a full morning circuit past the soda lake's flamingos and Lerai Forest's elephants, then a climb back up the escarpment in time for a late lunch.

After breakfast, you’ll begin your drive from the Ngorongoro region back to Arusha Airport, enjoying the scenic journey through the highlands. Upon arrival, you’ll catch your afternoon flight back to Zanzibar, bringing your incredible safari experience to a close.

Today you swap the road for a light aircraft. Internal flights on the safari circuit are short, scenic and a brilliant way to skip a long drive day, you cross the Rift wall and the western Serengeti in under an hour.

Luggage is capped at 15 kg in a soft duffel; anything heavier we store for you at our Arusha office until your return. Your guide meets you at the airstrip on arrival with the safari vehicle.
