Climb first, safari after
Our default recommendation. You arrive fresh and motivated for the climb, then recover on safari with full days in the vehicle. Lodge-based recovery is more comfortable than tent recovery.
Safari first, climb after
Works if your safari is short (4 days max) and you have a buffer day before the climb. Long safaris before climbing dull the legs and the focus.
Buffer days
Always build in 1 buffer day between the climb's end and any safari travel. Two if your climb ends with a long descent day.

• 7-day Lemosho climb → 1 rest day in Moshi → 5-day safari → Zanzibar
• 6-day Marangu climb → 1 rest day → 4-day classic safari
