The Serengeti splits into five game-viewing regions, and where you stay determines what you see. Central (Seronera Valley) - year-round resident wildlife, big cats, easy fly-in access. Northern (Kogatende, Lobo) - Mara River crossings July to October. Southern (Ndutu, Naabi Hill) - calving December to March. Western Corridor (Grumeti) - migration in June. Loliondo & Lobo (east) - quieter concessions, off-road driving, walking safaris.

A good Serengeti tour positions camps in the right region for your dates. We never default to one camp - we move you to where the wildlife is.

Game drives leave camp at first light when temperatures are cool and predators are still active. You're back at camp for brunch, rest through the heat, then out again 3pm to sunset. Full-day drives with a packed lunch are an option in central Serengeti. In the northern Serengeti during migration months, full-day drives are standard so you can wait at a river crossing as long as the herds need.

Vehicles are private - no shared seats, no minibuses - with a guaranteed window seat for everyone, pop-up roof, fridge, charging ports and a comprehensive first-aid kit.

January–March: calving on Ndutu plains. April–May: green low season, fewer vehicles. June: herds in western corridor. July–early October: Mara River crossings. November–December: short rains, herds moving south. Pick your month for the experience you want, then we position the camps accordingly.

Resident wildlife in the Seronera Valley is excellent year-round - never assume a Serengeti tour is bad in any month.
